ABOUT THE EXHIBIT:
This is collaborative exhibit by Japanese photographers Naoko Tsunoda, Hiroshi Suzuki, Yukiko Ino, and Ryo Sode.They say, "here we present to you the works of four Japanese individuals who live in the Silicon Valley. Through this exhibit, we would like to communicate and share our thoughts and feelings about the sweet memories of homecomings.

THE OPENING RECEPTION:
During the opening reception, each artist will be given time to address the audience and discuss their work. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain more insight into the artist's inspiration, and personal circumstances that led to each photograph's conception and more about the artist's process.

After the artist's presentations, we will move into the exhibition room to view the photographs and enjoy light snacks and refreshments.

サンブルーノで起きたガス爆発でPG&Eの責任を問う裁判で、これまで32件の訴訟がおき、原告は総数で111人となった。この数字はさらに今後も増え続けると見られ、PG&Eはすべての裁判を集約して一人の裁判官に委ねるよう要望を出している。訴訟の主な内容はガス爆発が起きたのはPG&Eの安全管理に問題があったためであり、また爆発からパイプをとじてガスを停めるまでに1時間半もかかった対応の遅れにより被害が拡大したという点で、現場住人など主に直接の被害者が原告となっているが、なかにはニュージャージーから自分の所有するPG&Eの株が下がったことについて損害賠償を求める訴訟も起こされている。

サンフランシスコとオークランドを結ぶ全長7.18kmのBay Bridgeは1936年の11月12日に操業を開始し、今日で74周年を迎える。建設には3年5ヶ月を費やし当初では全米で最も大規模な橋建設工事だった。

Googleが全社員給与10％アップの発表を行った同じ週、YAHOOでは全社員の10％をレイオフする事が予定されているという情報がTechCrunchなどのメディアで報じられた。YAHOOは当初報道された20％カットについて「不正確であり誤解を招く」と否定するコメントを行ったが、その後の10％カットの報道についてはコメントしていない。

先週の雪に人工雪を加えて十分な積雪となったマンモスマウンテンでは今日からスキー場をオープンする。マンモスマウンテンにはSFOからの直行便もあり、一足早いスキーシーズンの到来を待ち焦がれたファンを待ち受ける。また、今週末はマンモスマウンテンが舞台となる映画 Another Day in Paradiseのプレミエ上映も予定されている。
